Rachelle Lucas
Travel Advisor · Culinary Travel Expert · Publisher · On-Air Host
Rachelle helps travelers plan trips built around what she loves most: extraordinary food, unforgettable destinations, and the kind of travel that changes how you see the world. As a Fora Travel Advisor specializing in culinary journeys and European river cruising, she brings 16+ years of firsthand travel expertise and insider industry relationships to every itinerary she plans, at no added cost to her clients.
Rachelle is also the publisher of TheTravelBite.com, her long-running food and travel site and newsletter, and ActiveVoyager.com, a dedicated resource for European river cruising. On television, she’s a familiar face on HSN. She spent three years as the on-air spokesperson for Destinations, HSN’s travel luggage brand, before Ninja Kitchen brought her on as their culinary brand ambassador, sharing recipes inspired by her travels. Across both roles, she’s made 500+ live appearances on the network.
Her path to travel advising started in an unexpected place: running an inn. In 2007, Rachelle began blogging to document life as an innkeeper, and as her wanderlust grew, she sold the inn to pursue travel writing full-time. That leap has since taken her to 67 countries in pursuit of the world’s best meals and stories worth telling.
Along the way, she’s worked as a video journalist for the Travel Channel, served as Visit Florida’s Food and Dining Insider, and was selected by Four Seasons to document their inaugural Around-The-World by Private Jet Experience (8 countries in 22 days). Her work has been featured in PEOPLE, USA Today, Food & Wine, and Travel + Leisure, and she was named one of TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Culinary Travel Blogs.
Rachelle is 1st Vice Chair of the Society of American Travel Writers’ Digital Publishers Council and a regular emcee of Fish to Fork at the Omni Amelia Island. She’s based in Orlando, FL.
